In the early 1900's, the McKelvey Family purchased the farm.  They built a house, two barns and assorted other buildings.  The McKelvey Family had a successful dairy farm and raised hogs and chickens.

In December of 2003, the 3rd generation of the McKelveys decided to retire from farming and pursue other interests.

Long time family friend, Bill Snyder, decided to purchase the farm to preserve the legacy. On December 9, 2003, Town's Edge Farm came into existence.

The farm produces meat and eggs produced the slow old tyme way and with our on-farm butcher shop, produce the perfect cuts of meats for your enjoyment.  We also have a PA. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE inspected retail store and meat shop.

Our Mission Statement:

To provide fresh naturally produced meats and cheeses.  Most of the products we sell are raised by us.  However, to bring more variety and a continuous supply we do purchase some beef, poultry and pork locally and process it in our butcher shop.  All products sold by us meet our standards of humanely raised.  No growth hormones used at any time.  Grown the slow old-time way.  No fast food sold here.  We do not process deer or wild game at anytime to avoid cross contamination.  Our facility operates following all USDA guidelines and all Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture standards.  In fact, our standards are higher than the normal requirements.  We guarantee all of our products 100% and will give a full refund if you are not completely satisfied.

Thank you for supporting local agriculture.
